Bluff CityJerry McKelvyPublished Wednesday, June 16, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune The Moore family reunion is scheduled for the weekend of June 12-13. Since I am writing this on Saturday, I will just say that this event usually brings a large number of that family to our community and increases our church attendance on Sunday. We are glad to have you in the area. Charles, Patricia and Le Ann Farr made a trip to Nashville, Tenn., last week. I am sure they had a good time. I hear that White Oak Lake State Park will be closed beginning July 5 to make repairs and improvements to the camping facilities there. They have some ideas in mind to expand the park in the near future. The park was dedicated December 7, 1966, with an address by Gov. Faubus. Many of the young people around Bluff City (including myself) worked there during the summer to develop the park. Ed Cottingham was the park superintendent at the time. Since next Sunday is Father's Day, I tried to think of something appropriate for the occasion.
