Glenda Kaye Henry AkilPublished Wednesday, December 15, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesGlenda Kaye Henry Akil, 38, departed this life Saturday, December 4, 1999, in Vallejo, Calif. She was born July 8, 1961, to the union of Samella and John Henry of Gurdon. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, her husband, Marco Akil; a daughter, Kayla; her stepson, Marco; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry of Gurdon; eight sisters, Florine, Lisa, Johnella, Dale, Ruth, Maeva, Vada and Floreda; seven brothers, Billy, Dorsey, Johnny, Jeffrey, Willie, Booker and Jasper; seven loving brothers-in-law and six loving sisters-in- law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Cheeseman.
