Methodist Church Has Presentation Of Christmas MusicPublished Wednesday, December 15, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesSunday, Dec. 12, was a full day of Christmas music at the First United Methodist Church in Gurdon. For the morning service, the chancel choir presented 'The First Noel' by Joe E. Parks. Adult choir members included Martha Thomas, Bonnie Wimberly, Marsha Porcelli, Mary Lou Stroud, Kara Thomas, LaDawne Simpson, Patricia Childers, Mary Ann Newton, Janice Donahoue, Allen Wimberly, Eric Hittenrauch, Billy Tarpley, Paul Barringer, Lewis Jordan and Daryl Potratz. Jerry Childers directed the musical and Billie Jean Miller served as accompanist. Martha Thomas and Billy Tarpley rendered solos while Debbie Perry provided the narration. The evening service featured the United Methodist kids choir and the Christmas carillon. The kids choir presented the musical 'It's Christmas' by Terry Kirkland. Children's choir members were Thom Ross White, Tony Adams, Josh Babineaux, Evan Rutherford, Sydney Goza, Brittney Dickerson, Emily Alexander, Kelby Goza, Maci Blanton, Emily Blanton, Wes Boulden, Dillon Maxwell, Tyler Waters, Sean Donahoue, Dustin Gates, Brian Hittenrauch, Christopher Dickerson, Dustin Simpson and Alyssa Blanton. Jerry Chiders served as director and narration was provided by Emily Thomas, Martin Downey, Matthew Lynch and J.T. Tarpley. The program concluded with several holiday favorites by the Christmas carillon. Handbell choir members were Natalie Tarpley, Krissi Davies, Allison Anderson, Carolanne Duke, Jessie Livingston, Lezlee White, Corey Simpson, Josh Jordan, Brandon Bradshaw and Derrick Puckett.
