Admission is free. Red Springs Baptist Church adult choir will present 'Because of Bethlehem' for the worship service Sunday morning, Dec. 19, at 11:00. Everyone is invited. The children's choir will present 'How the Grench Found Christmas' Sunday night at 6:00. A reunion will be held for Hours of Joy pre-schoolers from the years 1987 through 1999 at 501 East Main Fri., Dec. 17 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. It will cost $5 per person. Semi-formal or formal dress is required. Parents and guardians of these former students are also welcome. The Church of God on Carrie St., pastor, Ivory Curry will present it's Christmas program on Dec. 16, at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited. Gurdon First Assembly of God will present 'The Hallelujah Christmas Cruise' on Dec. 19 at 6:00 p.m. This is a musical drama with more than a dozen cast members. All families and friends are welcome to watch the youth minister through drama. The church is located at 1007 East Main. Call 353-2804 for a ride or more information. Registration for the 2000 spring semester of classes at Ouachita Baptist University will be held Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Evans Student Center and Life Hall. Classes begin Jan. 12. Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be holding sessions at the Gurdon Municipal Building on Dec. 16 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather. Gurdon Lions Club is now able to begin collecting old eye glasses. The collection point in Gurdon is First Baptist Church or you can call Charles Shaver at 353-4640. Old glasses are recycled by Lions International. Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend. Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon. For more information, phone 353-4698.
