Four Recognized For Home Health Work

Home Health Aide Appreciation Day presented the perfect opportunity for SWADC (Southwest Arkansas Development Council) Home Health Agency to recognize four outstanding employees for devotion, tenure, performance and loyalty to their agency and their patients.

Tenure pins were awarded to Rosa Hunter, Marriah Ann Madison, Janice Henry and Genevie Henry.

These persons are devoted to assisting disabled, ill, elderly or recovering patients to stay safely in their own homes.

SWADC is a non-profit community action agency that provides personal care services in 12 southwest Arkansas counties to qualifying citizens.

Personal care is prescribed by a physician, designed by the physician, a registered nurse and the patient. The care is provided by a trained nurse aide and supervised by a registered nurse. Care plans may include bathing, grooming, eating, domestics, laundry and shopping. Care may be billed privately, to insurance, Medicaid, veterans benefits or to other programs, such as Arkansas Department of Human Services, Elderchoices.

Anyone with concern for their own health, a neighbor, a friend or loved one may make a referral. Our Agency will gladly assist persons find the appropriate care to meet their needs.
