Helping Hands EHCPublished Wednesday, December 8, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Bluff City Helping Hands Extension Homemakers Club met November 11 at the Church of Christ with 11 members present. Marguerite Tomlin, president of the club, called the meeting to order. Laverne Green called the roll with everyone telling what they liked about living in Nevada County. Everyone has so many good things to enjoy and to be thankful for. God has given us so much, let us not forget to give thanks to him. Laverne Green, Marguerite Tomlin, Marjorie Knight and Ruth Sullivan went to Arkadelphia to attend a meeting to learn more about how to handle heart and diabetic problems. While they were there they observed a real heart attack. A lady was rushed to the hospital. Club members enjoyed the program on the 'History of Nevada County' by Marguerite Tomlin.
