BoughtonMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, December 8, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Our weather seems more like Christmas. We got 2.8 inches of rain and it was 32 degrees this morning. Our sympathy goes to the family of Delmer Egger over his untimely death last Wednesday. He was buried Friday in Richwood Cemetery near Curtis. Harold and Thomas White of Van Buren brought dinner Friday and ate with his Aunt Chloe Orren. Harold and Thelma also visited his Uncle and Aunt Lenord and Faye House. Willie and I enjoyed Herbie Ridgell and Terry Crabtree's visit with us Thursday. We were so sorry to hear of the accidental death of William Hayton of Monticello. William was the son-in-law of Tommy and Helen Elmore. Tommy is the son of Elsie Elmore. His funeral was Monday at Monticello. Mildred White spent a few days in Little Rock babysitting her grandchildren, Payton and Bayley Michelle White. Ruth and Redford Perkins and granddaughter Miki visited Mae Blount Friday. Doyle Everett Hooks spent the weekend with his mother, Cathrine Hooks, and Mae Blount. Angie Beck's mother, Joan Cockrum, is spending the week with her and husband Gary. Jennie Christopher visited Elsie Elmore Wednesday. A thought: Anyone observant enough to guess your age correctly will annoy you in other ways, too.
