Rose Garden ClubPublished Wednesday, December 1, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Rose Garden Club met in the home of Ida Haynie on November 16 at 1:30 with Barbara Stewart, co-hostess. President Betty Turner provided over the meeting. She shared her visit to the Ace of Club House in Texarkana and gave interesting ideas which she received at the meeting. Rose Garden Club won the $50 prize from the Arts League on table decoration. Mrs. Turner described the table decoration used. New business was discussed and plans were made for the Christmas meeting at Mrs. Turner's. Leona Ballard gave a very interesting and informative program on fungus. All the members met on the patio of the hostess' home. She displayed and described many examples of mushrooms and other fungi that she had found on her home place. She also photographs of others. A lovely flower arrangement was brought by Max Hairston. The hostess and co-hostess served a delicious desert to the 14 members present.
