Fees To Be Charged By Nevada County Fair BoardPublished Wednesday, November 24, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Nevada County Fair board recently met and decided to begin charging for use of the buildings that are used privately and publicly when the fair is not progress. It was decided by the board that since more people have become interested in using the building for various occasions to begin charging fees. A $50 per day fee will be charged to non- profit organizations, such as reunions. The board also agreed to require a deposit of $50 for cleaning, which will be refundable if building is left clean. The board discussed how to get members to attend the monthly meetings. Members have not been attending and more members are needed to help in making the fair more successful. The group met November 11 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. President John Henderson called the meeting to order. Members present were Jake and Carol Tyree, Gail Ratcliff, Ruby Wicker, Margie Reed, John Cannon and Julie Stockton. Plans for the year 2000 fair are beginning to take place.
