Floyd B. PiercyPublished Wednesday, November 24, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneFloyd B. Piercy, 86, of Emmet died Saturday, November 20, 1999, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Mr. Piercy was born March 17, 1913, in Sutton to Roger and Sarah Piercy. He was a retired farmer, cattle farmer and public worker and deacon of New Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Avalue Piercy. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Logan Hamilton of Hope and Barbara and Tommy Peck of Emmet; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 21, at Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elmer Grant and Rev. Buddy McKamie officiating.
