Fair HillBarbara CorneliusPublished Wednesday, November 24, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune The time is drawing near to get together with our loved ones. Hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Julie Stockton, Geraldine Greenwood, Audie Stuart Wakin and Dawn McKinnon took a trip to Branson, Mo., last Friday. They went to the Wayne Newton, Shoji Tubuschi, Mel Tillis and Bobby Vinton shows. They were all Christmas shows with some regular music. They had a great time and enjoyed seeing Christmas lights along the way. Aaron Morton spent Friday night with his grandparents, J.W. and Maxine Glass, who live in Caney. Grace Tyree had lunch with Delbert and Joyce Tyree Sunday. There were other family members who attended. Dillion Ridling from Brazoria, Mo., will be spending the Thanksgiving week with his dad, Greg Ridling. Florence Cornelius has returned home after a short stay at Hillcrest. Ruby Fontaine went with Henry Stuart to the Southern Clinic at Texarkana last week for some tests. Billy Roy and Judy Martin visited with Flossie Martin Sunday afternoon at Hillcrest. Also R.R. Nolen (Flossie's brother) from Kansas had visited. Angela Hopkins was honored with a baby shower Thursday night at the home of Patricia Kirkham. Hostesses were Connie Peters and Maggie Hopkins. Fair Hill Fire Department met at the site of the new fire department Saturday to make preparations for the foundation. They are asking for volunteers to be there Saturday, November 27, at 9:30 a.m. You may call Julie Stockton for further information. Ricky Hopkins killed a five-point Sunday. He had some help cleaning his deer. His four- year-old son Blake was doing all he could do with his butter knife. Julie Stockton was among 50 other family members at the Avery reunion Sunday at Delight School. Family members from Texarkana, Benton and Memphis traveled for the event. Ishmael and Ruth Thompson are on our ill list. Hope you both are feeling better real soon. Lenny Wesson from California spent last week with his great Aunt Hazel Hendrix. David, Donald and Jessica Hopkins spent Saturday night with their Grandma and Grandpa Kirkham. Elizabeth Hopkins spent the day Sunday. Franki Kirkham visited with Hazel Hendrix Saturday and Sunday. This goes out to all you deer hunters: I hope you all had a successful and enjoyable hunt. May God Bless each and everyone of you. Have a safe and memorable Thanksgiving.
