Published Wednesday, November 24, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune

I was on cloud nine Monday morning. Our son, Charles, and his wife of Mayesville, S.C., and our grandson, Doug Hooks, of Billingham, Wash., and son, Willie Hugh, have come to spend a few days. All our family, grandchildren and great grandsons are to be here Wednesday night for supper.

We are so sorry Mary Agnes Orren had to have heart surgery (three bypasses) last week. She hopes to come home from St. Michael Hospital Monday. Her daughter, Linda Brooks, of Macon, Ga., flew in Saturday to spend a week with her.

Lawner and Arleen West of Hope and James Hussy and his friend Jimmie of Marshall, Texas, visited Syble Brown last week. James put flowers on his loved ones graves in Piney Grove Cemetery.

Elsie Elmore and Cathryn Jester visited Denise Stubble and her sister, Darlene Young, who was visiting her Thursday. Denise isn't well.

Bennie and Delight Blount brought dinner and ate and visited his mother, Mae, and T.J. Sunday. they also carried dinner to their daughter, Rachel, at Holy Hiway in New Boston, Texas.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
