SW Arkansas Riders Honored

Riders from across Southwest Arkansas were honored recently in ceremonies marking the end of the season for the Southwest Arkansas Horse Show Association.

High-point winners for the season included Ryan Bearden of Hope, Pee Wee high point; Cole Hillery of Prescott, Buckaroo high point; Amber Baily of Kirby, Junior high point; and Danny Dougan of Hope, Senior high point.

Sportsmanship awards were given to Kylon Ford of Spring Hill, Pee Wee Division; Justin Hillery of Prescott, Junior Division; and Darrel Porter of Glenwood, Senior Division.

Winners in participation events for the season, in order of place include:

Pony class Meggan Banks, Candace Kidd and Ryan Bearden.

Two-year old snaffle L.A. Sinyard, Ron Daniell and Bart Daniell.

Walk-trot Logan Joyce, Ryan Bearden, Meggan Banks, Andrea Bailey and Aubrey Bailey.

Open reining Lindsey Powell, Sandra Maxwell, Susan Maxwell and Bill Maxwell.

Pee wee barrels Ryan Bearden, Logan Joyce, Meggan Banks, Madison Cox and Andrea Bailey.

Buckaroo barrels Monique Scarbough, Megan Fisher, Ashley Helm, Chaley Banks and Cole Hillery.

Junior barrels Amy Starkey, Amanda Moore, Rachel Moore, Maranda Story and Tiffany Markham.

Senior barrels Tammy Weems, Penny Thornton, Miki Wright, Martha Prince and Shelly Muse.

Men's western pleasure Bart Daniell, Danny Dougan, Ron Daniell, Robert Smith and Leon Deere.
