On Thursday of last week 16 from the Gurdon center were guests of the Glenwood center. We also had a doll show. One of the dolls was 76 years old. As I am a doll lover, they were all beautiful.

The center offered a trip to Wal-Mart to the seniors on Friday.

This week's activities include walking, bingo, Musicmakers singing at Twin River Rehab, Jerry Don Childres bringing singers from the Gurdon Primary School, National Park Medical will be giving blood pressure and blood sugar tests, and we will have square dancing on Friday.

The monthly council meeting will be on Tues., Nov. 16. The seniors will dine out that same night. More activities are planned for the month.

As we go into the holiday season we need to be very thankful for all the blessings that we have had the past year.

We would like very much for you to attend the center, and see what it has to offer. There are many services available to senior citizens. The center is open five days a week. It is closed Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

The center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way agency.
