Fair HillBarbara CorneliusPublished Wednesday, November 10, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune John L. and Lenora McWilliams son Gary, wife Lynna, Katie Beth and Annie McWilliams from Somerville, Tenn., were guests over the weekend. Congratulations goes out to Barbara Sampson for winning first place in the decorating cookie contest that was held Saturday at Wal-Mart. The prize was a $25 gift certificate. The cookie was sent to Wilton's Enterprises to be entered in another contest. Good luck, Barbara. Rev. Larry Jones was sick last week. He was unable to attend church. I understand that he is now doing fine. Donald Hopkins has been sick with the stomach virus. I sure hope that he will be feeling better soon. Sunday night services at Missionary Grove, special music was presented by Katie Beth McWillams, Margie Johnson and Lenora and Annie McWilliams. Morning services Carolyn Jones presented a special. Cody Jackson spent Saturday night with his cousin Aaron Morton. Lonnie Hawkins from Benton visited with his mother, Mary Youngman, and brother, Shaun Hawkins, this weekend. Grace Tyree, who lives at Hillcrest, enjoyed an outing Saturday with her son, Delbert, and daughter-in-law, Joyce Tyree. Jim and Mary Youngman had lunch guests Sunday, Mary Beth and Eva Jones, from Hillcrest had a good ol' country meal. Patricia and David Kirkham and Mr. and Mrs. Thompson went to Lonoke to visit with Jimmy and Julia Taylor. They went to see the new grandson, Jacob Austin Taylor. J.D. Sampson visited his grandma Barbara Sampson over the weekend. They carved out pumpkins. I bet they are getting ready to make those pies for the holiday.
