Thursday of last week, Beatrice Stafford, Eulah Wilson and myself were the judges of the first fourth-grade drug free posters at Gurdon Primary School. All their posters were very good, so it was hard to choose.

Wednesday, Charlotte Shepherd, Naomie Brown, Eulah Wilson and myself were at the health fair booth at Beverly Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia. Tommy Rhodes crocheted a beautiful door prize for the occasion.

A party was held Friday for Halloween and birthdays. Those with birthdays in October were Beatrice Stafford, Autrey Horne, Mary Purifoy, Mary Lou Capps, Jim Hatley, D.W. Bryan, Nadine Terrell, Roland Walters, Louise Davies, S.W. Wingfield, Earlene Self and Lue Schoonover.

Saturday at the Forest Festival the following people worked the United Way booth: Nadine Logan, Ben Medcalf, Eulah Wilson, Daryl Potratz, Bennie Freeman and me.

The center thanks all the volunteers and invites more seniors to come and try the activities planned for the next few weeks.

The center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way agency.
