J.B. Harwell

J.B. Harwell, 75, of Gurdon died Fri., Oct. 29, 1999.

Mr. Harwell was a medical electronics service engineer for Baptist Medical Systems, a member of First United Methodist Church of Gurdon, a World War II veteran, a member of American Legion Post 96, holder of extra class amateur radio license, state M.A.R.S. director, former president of Gurdon Chamber of Commerce and member of the American Radio Relay League.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Harwell of Gurdon; sons, Joseph B. Harwell of Gurdon and Matthew T. Harwell of Waldo; one daughter, Robin Fleming of Arlington, Texas; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sun., Oct. 31, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loyd Perry officiating. Burial was in Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
