Minnie Mary Ann HughesPublished Wednesday, November 3, 1999 in the Gurdon TimesMinnie Mary Ann Hughes, 88, of Whelen Springs died Saturday, October 30 1999. Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker, member of Whelen Springs Baptist Church, member of the Easter Star and Whelen Extension Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Dewey, and a son, Jerry Donald Hughes. Survivors include one son, Edward Leon Hughes of Maraciabo, Venezuela; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Koester of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
