While she was there she visited her sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Hulan May of Foreman. Mary and J.D. Lucas visited Roy and Syble Brown Friday afternoon. Freddie and Huey Garner and Mike Garner visited Chloe Orren Sunday. Leon Moore of Michigan flew home due to his mother's illness. She had surgery and now has pneumonia and emphysema. She is very ill. A thought for fathers: When I was a boy of 14 my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
