Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

Mom's in Touch weekly prayer group, praying for local schools and children, meet Tuesdays at 1:45 at First Baptist Church. Call 887-6376 for more information.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be at the Nevada County Courthouse on Thursday, October 28; Tuesday, November 23, and Tuesday, December 21.

Supplemental security income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. To find out if you are eligible, call 1-800-772-1213.

A revival will be held at the Chuck Wagon in Emmet Saturday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m.

The evangelist will be Dorthy Mason and party. Sunday there will be lots of gospel music and refreshments.

There will be a meeting of the board of directors of Southwest Arkansas Planning and Development District Wednesday, Nov. 3 at Western Sizzlin in Hope. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

The next diabetic education meeting will be held Wednesday, November 10, at 2:00 p.m. with the topic being skin care. The speaker will be Rob Savage, RPT.

This meeting will take place at the Alliance Home Health, 300 E. Second South. Sponsors are AllCare Pharmacy, Alliance Home Health Care and Nevada County Cooperative Extension Service.

Prescott Housing Authority has completed its 5-year agency plan and has it ready for public view in the local office at 401 Hale Avenue. The plan can be viewed Wednesday, November 3, between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

November 10-14 will be revival at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Harrell Rodebush. It will start at 7:00 nightly and Sunday at 10:40 a.m. and will be followed by potluck at the church and afternoon service at 2 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Barbara Pardue, director of Arkansas Department Economic Development, will be in Prescott at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, at the Nevada County courthouse.

She will present the city with grants for a new Senior Adult Center and Rural Water Project.

The grant for the Senior Adult Center is $325,000, while the one for Rural Water Project is $2,633,000. The public is invited to attend.
