Its been several weeks since I have reported any news, so I don't even know where to start.

Roscoe and I have been on vacation to Branson, Mo., and northeast Oklahoma. We saw Dolly Parton's Dinner Theater Dixie Stampede, the piano player, Jim Frederick, and the Waltzing Waters. We enjoyed these very much. We went from there to Miami, Okla., to visit a school friend of mine, Bernice Salisbury Seilgrist. She took us to Harbor Valley in Grove, Okla., and to the Precious Moments factory in Carthage, Mo. Words can't describe either place. We came home one day early, because our great grandson was born to Marty and Reagan Williams of Texarkana. He arrived on Mon., Oct. 25, and was named Michael Wren. Reagan's mother, Becky Huett, of Prescott is spending a few days with them to help out.

Tara Carlton's grandfather Harwell passed away this week. The funeral was Sunday afternoon. We extend our sympathy to this family.

Our pastor and family will be on vacation this weekend in Little Rock for a few days. Bro. Jason Goodwin of Magnolia will be preaching while they are away.

The youth of our church took charge of all the positions in our church today as it was the fifth Sunday. They did a remarkable job and we were very proud of them.

Among our church visitors Sunday were Bro. Olvie Dorman and a friend of Bob Grisham's from Magnolia. I didn't get his name. That night Travis Bailey and fianc were with us. They will be getting married soon. She is the daughter of Bro. Donnie and Diane Dillard.

Ted and Amy Morman spent the holidays with their mother in Pine Bluff.

Roscoe and I spent Tuesday and Saturday in Texarkana visiting our new great grandson.

We spent a while Saturday night with my brother, Billy Schmitt, and his wife in Hope. Their oldest son's father-in-law, Carroll Brown, of Mountain Home passed away. He was taken to Texarkana, where they formerly lived, for funeral and burial. We got to visit with the family and Gregg Schmitt's two children from Louisiana. We enjoyed being with them.

One of my school mates, Georgia Ruth Pinegar, of Washington passed away last week. Funeral was Friday afternoon at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope with burial in Memory Gardens. She was a retired postmaster from Washington. I would like to send my sympathy to her husband, Dub, her sister, Naomi of North Carolina, her brother, Billy, and her mother, Mrs. Dudney.

Sue Dixon has been to visit her brother, Ronnie, and his wife for a few days. Sue and Vera Lee went to see a doctor while she was there.

Sue Dixon and I visited with Lee and Ira Jarvis a while Sunday afternoon. They have both been under the weather for several weeks. Continue to pray for them.

LeVergne White was in church Sunday after being out for several weeks with her husband, Claudie, who was able to go to church Sunday, thanks to answered prayer.

Good luck to all the deer hunters. Pray that God will keep them safe.
