116th session of the West Arkansas Annual Conference was held Oct. 27-31. The conference theme was 'Facing the 21st Century' at Visitor's Chapel AME Episcopal Church in Hot Springs. Bishop Frederick Hilborn Talbot was the chief pastor and the Rev. Dr. Colin MaCrae Lambert was the host pastor. I did not get to attend the conference, but one day, Sunday. I got to see a lot of my old time friends. I really did enjoy them. They said they really miss me. I served as area choir person at one time. They understand that I have a sick husband. I don't drive very much any more. I could not get anyone to drive me until Sunday and Zeke Martin drove for me Sunday. It had been a long time since I had been to Hot Springs.

Golden Star Chapter 359, OES PHD annual Fall Fest '99 is Sat., Nov. 6, at 6:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Civic League building on Highway 200 in Rosston. Donation of $5 will be taken.
