Published Wednesday, September 6, 1995 in the Nevada County Picayune

This is how the Curley Wolves' opponents fared Friday night as Prescott was defeating Harmony Grove:

  • Class AAA Hope, this week's host to the Curley Wolves, defeated Warren, 12-0;
  • Ashdown, another Class AAA team and Prescott's opponent on September 15, was defeated, 19-6, by Class A Mineral Springs;
  • Junction City, Prescott's visitor on September 22 and the Wolves' first conference foe, fell to Smackover, 34-6;
  • Nashville, another conference foe and ranked first in Class AA in the state, ran away from Murfreesboro, 40-6, and will visit Prescott on September 29;
  • De Queen, the Wolves opponent on October 6 (ranked eighth in the state in Class AA), defeated Mena, 7-6;
  • Stamps, coming to town October 13, beat Lewisville, 27-12;
  • Hampton, a Class A school this year and Prescott's opponent October 20, lost to Glen Rose, 20-14;
  • Gurdon, the Wolves host on October 27, stomped Fouke, 34-9; and
  • Fordyce, ranked number two in the state after being defeated by Rison, 29-12, will host Prescott on November 3.
In addition to Prescott going to Hope this Friday, Ashdown will travel to Nashville; JC will be at Dermott; De Queen will host Valleant, Okla.; Stamps will host Earle; Hampton travels to Bearden; Gurdon hosts Mineral Springs; and Fordyce goes to Sheridan.

Prescott fans need to support the football players, coaches, cheerleaders and the band: make the short drive to Hope for some good action.
