NRCS Office ClosingPublished Wednesday, September 27, 1995 in the Nevada County Picayune"The Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) will relocate its federal staff from the Nevada County Conservation office to a USDA service center effective October 1. The service center is located at Hope at 2510 North Hervey" said Thomas Wehri, NRCS state conservationist. Wehri said the new service center will provide USDA program and services at one location. NRCS will continue to deliver services at the same level, and technical assistance will be provided through the Nevada County Conservation District. The district office will remain at its current location. Those requesting assistance from the NRCS district conservationist, soil consevationist, or technician may telephone the service center at 777-8613 or the Nevada County Conservation District at 887-3210 or stop by either office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. "The Natural Resources Conservation Service will continue to support all conservation districts throughout the state," Wehri said.
