Registration UnderwayPublished Wednesday, October 4, 1995 in the Nevada County PicayuneInstallation of computers and software needed to implement the new "Motor-Voter" registration program has been completed in Nevada County, Secretary of State, Sharon Priest has announced. The computers and software were installed in the office of Nevada County Clerk, Julie Stockton. The program, which was mandated by Congress through the National Voter Registrration Act, gives citizens more places to apply to register to vote. It is expected many people will apply to register when they apply for a new driver's license at their county revenue office.
