out to Johnston, who connected to Johnson for a first down at the De Queen 30.

Bryant got another first down at the 19, then picked up another yard before Yates passed to Johnson for a first down at the nine-yard line.

Montgomery got the call and moved the ball to the four, and that's when Yates optioned to run around for a TD. The PAT by Yates was good, making the score 34-7 with 3:54 left in the quarter.

After the kickoff the Leopards moved the ball from their 36-yard line to the end zone in eight plays, picking up five yards from a Prescott penalty along the way. Williams went in from the 15 for the TD. The two-point conversion attempt was no good for the score to remain 34-12 with less than a minute to go in the third period.

Another onsides kick was captured by Prescott at the 40. Johnston took over as quarterback as the team moved into the final period.

On fourth and four the Curley Wolves punted the ball, the only punt of the game. However, the De Queen receiver fumbled the ball with Johnston recovering it for the Wolves at the Leopards 28.

Bad luck for the Wolves: Prescott was caught holding and backed up 10 yards, and then they were caught clipping, moving them back 15 more yards to their own 47. This just added fuel to a fired-up Johnston, who hit Morrow near the 20. Morrow dodged one defender and he was gone for the TD. The PAT kick by Mike Fountain was blocked, leaving the score at 40-12 with 10:18 left in the quarter.

Once more Sullivan went into shotgun formation and once more his pass was intercepted, this time by Fountain near his 45. A penalty moved the ball back to the 30.

This younger and less experienced group of players looked good moving the ball down field on their next possession. Johnston used Carlos VanHook, Heath Duke, Gary Stovall, Brent Jordan and Fountain to get the ball to the Leopards 11. With around three minutes left on the clock, coach Eddie Jackson decided not to score again. He had Johnston to go to his knee the next three plays, giving up the ball to De Queen at the 19.

The drive should have given these players the experience they need to assist the main team in the remaining games. It should also give them more confidence.

Yates attempted eight passes, completing five for 60 yards. Johnston was two for two for 81. Sullivan completed two out of 10 for 64 yards. He threw three interceptions.

The Curley Wolves were penalized nine times for 70 yards while De Queen was penalized seven times for 50 yards.

All fans should be at the PHS stadium this Friday to see the Wolves in action. A good halftime program is also on tap.

Prescott's homecoming is next week.
