Annual homecoming will be Sunday, July 18, at 2:30 p.m. at Providence A.M.E. Church in the Kansas community. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guest will be New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon, Rev. Quintin Rafford, pastor and speaker. Other special guests will also be present. Rev. Flostene Quarles, pastor.

Nancy McPeak of the Holly Grove community is in the hospital in Little Rock, and reporting to be doing fair.

Bro. Mack Crow is also in the hospital. We ask for your prayers for the sick.

Women's conference will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Okolona Friday, July 30, at 7:00 p.m, and Saturday, July 31, at 8:00 a.m. for a prayer breakfast. The theme is 'Women Empowered for War in a New Millennium.' Everyone is welcome. You may contact Lola Hatley at 870-353-6283. Sis. Rose Dixon, president, Sis. Dianne Hatley, vice president. Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Lee Quarles of California has returned home after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Quarles of Gurdon, Grandmother Birdie Quarles, aunts, uncles and other close relatives and friends. He also attended the wedding of his cousin, Twanna Moore.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Hawthrone of San Francisco, Calif. have returned home after visiting his sisters, Ruby Allen of Curtis and Eula F. Quarles and Bertha L. Hoiliman of Gurdon. He also visited other relatives and friends. They also attended the wedding of his niece, Twanna (Allen) Moore.
