Tavoris Blakely was the scoring leader for the Blue Jays in both games last week. He scored 18 points against the McNeil Lions and 31 against Stephens.

He hit 9 two-pointers against McNeil and 10 two-pointers, 2 three- pointers and 5 of 6 free throws against Stephens.

LaMarcus Page and Reginald Reed each scored 12 points against McNeil. Page connected with 6 two-pointers and Reed made 4 two-pointers, 1 three- pointer and one of two free shots.

Jermaine Perkins scored 10 points for the Jays against the Lions.

Others scoring for Nevada were Joesph Young with 5 points, Vincent Muldrow and Casey Curtis with 4 each and Courtney Mixon and Ricardo Young with 2 each.

Eric Burton with 12 points was McNeil's leading scorer, hitting 4 two-pointers, 1 three-pointer and 1 of 2 free shots.

Corey Christopher and Don Burnell each scored 10 points for the Lions.

Nevada led McNeil 20-11 after one period, 49-21 after two and 61-39 after three.

Each team hit one third of their free shots: Nevada made 3 of 9 and McNeil made 1 of 3.

In addition to Blakely's 31 points against the Stephens Roadrunners, Reginald Reed and Jermaine Perkins scored in double figures. Reed had 17 points and Perkins had 12. Reed made 5 two-pointers and 7 of 8 free shots and Perkins made 4 two-pointers and 4 of 6 free throws.

Others scoring for Nevada against the Roadrunners were Casey Curtis with 6 points, Joseph Young and Vincent Muldrow with 5 each, LaMarcus Page had 4, Mike Lowe 3 and Eric Murphy and Courtney Mixon finished with 2 apiece.

Scoring in double figures for Stephens were Shedrick Torrence with 18, Derrick Amos with 11 and Rashawn Staten with 10 points.

Torrence made 7 two-pointers and 4 of 12 free shots, Amos hit 3 two- pointers, 1 three-pointer and 2 of 2 free throws, and Staten made two three- pointers, 1 two-pointer and 2 of 3 from the free throw line.

Nevada's free throw shooting improved against the Roadrunners. They made 18 out of 22 shots. Stephens made 11 of 27 from the charity stripe.
