PHS Wins Homecoming Game, 43-0 (cont)

s in the first quarter against the two teams.

Hampton fumbled the ball four times to Prescott while the Curley Wolves lost a fumble and one pass to the Bulldogs.

This week the Curley Wolves will travel to Gurdon, where the Go-Devils are 2-2 in the conference after a loss Friday at Nashville. Turnabout is fair play, it is said. Last year Gurdon spoiled Prescott's homecoming, 14-7. Maybe this year the Wolves will spoil theirs.

Prescott still leads the 7AA Conference with 4 wins and no losses. Nashville is right behind with a 3-1 record. Fordyce is third at 3-2. Stamps is 2-2, so it looks like a battle is in store for fourth place.

Nashville and Fordyce need only one win apiece to be in the state playoffs, but Gurdon and Stamps need two. De Queen needs three with only two games left, so they are out, or are they?

What it amounts to is there could be a tie for fourth place and it may not be decided until after the last game of the season, which is next week. However, Prescott is in the playoffs. Now it's just a matter of winning to keep the home field advantage.
