BodcawPublished Wednesday, September 8, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneAline Claus Happy birthday to Jimmy Baker, Bobbie Allen, Leslie and Willie Fay Clements, Cleo Hamm and Ken Townsend. I will finish the other September birthdays later. Norris Daniels had a pleasant surprise when an old friend, Inez Wheat, of Little Rock visited here. A second surprise was when Ruby Camp Hamilton of Stamps visited. These stop-by visits are pleasant. Chris Butler of Ft. Sill, Okla., was home for the long weekend. He visited Dad, David, Peggy and Cody of Blevins, then to Deck and Earlene Butler's for a get-together for a feed on Saturday. Chris goes on to Cabot to see Mom, Annette and Chad, Brandi and Wesley. Union welcomed Jason Teague and fianci and Brandon Teague and wife as new members. Happy to report that some of our sick are better. Bill Poindexter is home. Mary Poindexter has been seeing her doctor in Hot Springs. She says she feels better. Floyd Poindexter, Etta Sanders and Victoria McMillian visited their brother, Morris Poindexter, in Stamps Nursing Home. He was not doing very well. Karen Thornton of Tennessee was visiting grandmother, Nedra, and Mac McKelvy and she came to see me also. She tries to come see me when she visits. Russ Carlton started back to college at Hope. He sang at Texarkana last Sunday and at Rosston revival one night. Walker Flowers is starting kindergarten at the Methodist Church this week.
