They had to battle for every point against the Lady Tigers, who finally won it in the last period. Laverne Smith of Taylor was the game's leading scorer with 23 points, 8 two's, 1 three-pointer and 4 of 7 from the free throw line. Jennifer Taylor scored 12 points for the Lady Tigers, hitting 4 two's, 1 three and 1 of 2 free shots. Tomeka Muldrew was Nevada's leading scorer with 18 points. She connected with 6 two-pointers and she made 6 of 7 free throws. Dilesha Easter scored 8 points for the Lady Jays, Crystal Lowe score 4, Shonda Young had 3 and Alicia Lewis 2. The scored was tied at 12 after one period, but the Lady Jays led 24-22 at halftime, and they led 35-32 going into the final quarter. The Lady Jays made 13 of their 18 free shots.
