Blue Jays Tangle With Taylor Tigers

The Nevada senior boys increased their record to three wins with no losses last week on Thursday as the Blue Jays defeated Taylor, 88-72, in a game that began as a lopsided affair, but nearly turned into an upset.

In the two previous games the Nevada junior girls were 43-19 victors, but the Lady Blue Jays were defeated, 48-44, in a game that went down to the wire.

These were the only games scheduled for last week, and this week the Nevada teams only have one night (Thursday) of basketball,

Next week the real basketball season gets underway as the regular football season ends this Friday night. However, there are a lot of senior boys' teams in this area (Prescott for one), which will be hampered because several of the team members are also football players, and the Curley Wolves will be playing in the state playoffs.

But for the Nevada teams the full schedule begins.
