Prescott scored 7 touchdowns Friday night as the Curley Wolves easily eliminated Yellville-Summit, 48-6, from the Class AA state playoffs at the PHS stadium.

This Friday at the stadium Prescott will face Hamburg, 24-18 winner over Rivercrest.

Prescott's senior running back Courtney Bryant rushed for 114 yards on 13 carries and scored three touchdowns in the slaughter of the Panthers.

Quarterback Barrett Yates (12th grade) only completed 5 of his 14 passes for 69 yards, but in so doing he passed for one touchdown and a two-point conversion. The TD pass was to C.D. Flemons (11th grade) in the second period, but Flemons also picked up a fumble in the third quarter for a touchdown from midfield.

Yates also kicked the point after two different times. On the first TD his kick was off the mark and on the third a bad snap was attempted to run for two points. Mike Fountain kicked the point after once in the third period and once in the fourth. Flemons missed a field goal in the second quarter from over 30 yards out.

Other Wolves scoring were Al Johnston, a 10th grader, from 28 yards out in the third quarter, and Carlos VanHook, another 10th grader, from 14 yards out in the final period.

The defense did its part by keeping the ball in the hands of the Prescott offense. They captured three fumbles and had one inteception while permitting the Panthers only 5 first downs.

Yellville used nine backs in its running game with three of them in minus yardage. However, Mark Snyder rushed 10 times for 148 yards with his biggest run coming in the fourth quarter. He slipped past the Wolves and ran for a 95-yard touchdown, the only score the Panthers could muster.

Coach Eddie Jackson used all his players Friday, including the freshmen he moved up after the junior schedule was completed. There was a mixture of sophomores and juniors in the game in the final period.

His Curley Wolves got off to a good start by completing a 77-yard scoring drive after the opening kickoff. The Wolves did it in just 10 plays, too.

Courtney Bryant got the first call and picked up 9 yards to the 32- yard line. A pass to Rashad Johnson got the first down at the 46.

Bryant then took a delayed handoff and got another 9 yards. Next Sam Marlow was stopped just shy of the first down, and then Bryant was stopped for no gain. On fourth and less than a foot Bryant went up the middle for the first down at the Yellville 43-yard line.

On the next play Bryant twisted and turned to escape two defenders, but was finally stoped at the 21 with another first down.

Marlow then picked up four yards for the Wolves and Bryant got the first down at the 7 of Yellville.

Yates pitched back to Bryant, who went outside for the touchdown with 7:17 still left in the first quarter. With a strong gusting side wind the PAT by Yates went wide right.

Flemons' kickoff went in the end zone.

Yellville quarterback Ryan Snyder, who was later injured and had to leave the game, couldn't move the Panthers and they punted on fourth and 11.

But Prescott had to also punt, and Yates booted the ball into the end zone from midfield.

This time three Curley Wolves missed a sacking opportunity and the Panthers got a first down. But on the next play there was a fumble on the handoff with Charlie Rockett getting the recovery for Prescott at the Yellville 31.

Marlow picked up 4 yards to get the ball to the 27. Then Yates, on an option, pitched out to Bryant, who went down the right side once more for the TD. Yates hit Flemons for the two-point conversion and the Wolves led 14-0 with 2:38 left in the first quarter.

The Wolves missed a good opportunity on the following kickoff when the Panthers were just letting the kicked ball roll around near deep in Yellville territory. A Yellville player finally fell on the active ball at the 10. But once more the Panthers had to punt, this time from the end zone as the line of scrimmage was on the 3. The punt went out of bounds at the Yellville 42.

Marlow got the first down on the first carry at the Yellville 32.

Bryant then moved the ball two yards as the quarter ended. Coach Jackson decided to go to the passing game at this point. Yates missed Rashad Johnson with a pass, but on the next play he connected with C.D. Flemons for the TD. A bad snap kept the game at 20-0

This time the Panthers moved the ball and picked up three first downs. However, on fourth and 6 Prescott received the ball on downs. They were 28 yards away from another touchdown.

Bryant gained six yards, Johsnon picked up 2 and VanHook got the first down at the 41-yard line.

Sam Marlow then got another first down with a 11-yard rush to the Yellville 48.

Yates then missed Channing Butler with a pass and then an offensive pass interference moved the ball back to the Prescott 37. Yates then hit Flemons with a big pass and had the first down at the Yellville 19.

Yates missed Bryant with a pass, then connected with Butler in the flats who ran to the 12. On the next play Yates pitched back to Bryant, who went in for the TD. The PAT by Yates was good and Prescott led 27-0 with 1:31 left in the half.

Yellville took over on their 18 after the kickoff, but didn't go anywhere. VanHook intercepted a Yellville pass at the 21-yard line on their very first play from scrimmage.

But Yates missed three passes bringing up a fourth and 10 from the 21. Flemons' kick was wide left for the field goal.

Prescott began the third period with a kickoff to the Panthers, who gained 16 yards and got a first down.

They picked up another 8 yards, to the Prescott 47, when the ball was knocked loose from quarterback Brandon Fogerty's hand. Flemons grabbed it and couldn't be stopped until he went in the end zone for the TD. The kick by Barrett made it 34-0 with 10:26 left in the third quarter.

The sixth touchdown came just a few minutes later. On fourth and 4 from the Prescott 49 the Panthers turned the ball over to the Wolves on downs.

Bryant's only run in the second half came up next. He went to the Yellville 42 for an 8-yard gainer. Marlow got the first down at the 40.

Heath Duke, coming off the bench, picked up one yard on the first down, then 5 more yards before Montra Montgomery got the first down at the Yellville 28.

On the next play Duke was stopped for no gain, but Al Johnston entered the picture next and swept down the right side for the TD with 4:52 still remaining in the third period. The PAT by Mike Fountain was good and the score was 41-0.

The fourth quarter began with Scott Graham kicking a punt to the Yellville 7.

A pass for Jerry Hall was incomplete, then Chris Cameron lost two yards for the Panthers.

A draw play had the Wolves completely fooled. But Mark
