For Special December 12 Election

The Nevada County Election Commission met Wednesday, Nov. 8 and agreed to combine polling places for the Dec. 12, special election.

Voters will decide at this time whether or not to call a Constitutional Convention in 1996 and elect district delegates.

There will be three polling places in Nevada County. Persons in each of the three school districts will vote in their respective districts.

Voters in the Prescott School District will vote at the Nevada County Courthouse.

Those in the Nevada School District will vote at the Nevada School. Voters in the Emmet district will cast their ballots at the Emmet City Hall.

Early voters, or no excuse voters, throughout the county can cast their ballots at the Nevada County Clerk's Office in the courthouse beginning Nov. 27 and ending Dec. 11, according to election commission chairman, Davis Benton.
