Holiday Forces Changes in Picayune Deadlines

Many people will be celebrating Thanksgiving next Thursday with their families.

The Picayune will be closed that day so that its employees may enjoy this day with theirs. This is one of the few holidays the Picayune closes.

Next week the Picayune will print earlier so the newspapers will be in the homes of Nevada County subscribers on Wednesday. Due to this the deadline will change just a little.

The classified deadlines will move from 4:00 p.m. Monday to 4:00 p.m. Friday. Classified ads go in The Southwest Arkansas Shopper free, and the shopper will have to be printed on Monday next week is the reason for the earlier deadline.

News deadlines will remain the same -- 12:00 noon Monday. However, it would help if local news releases would arrive a little earlier. Your cooperation will be appreciated.
