Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

Mom's In Touch prayer group meets every Tuesday at 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be at the Nevada County Courthouse on Thursday, June 24.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind checks. To find out if you are eligible, call 1-800-772-1213.

If your child will have his or her third or fourth birthday before September 15 or will have a fifth birthday after September 15, then you could receive free teaching materials to prepare your child for school. This offer is made through HIPPY.

The City Council at Bluff City, which generally meets on the first Monday of the month, will meet Tuesday, July 6, as the first Monday this year is July 5, a legal holiday.

A revival is in progress at New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church, 113 East Elm, at 7:30 nightly. Services are conducted by Elder Robert McCoy. Evangelist is Madonna Haynes.
