Genoa 68, Lady Jays 58Published Wednesday, November 22, 1995 in the Nevada County PicayuneKaren Purifoy pumped in 28 points to lead the Lady Dragons to a 68-58 victory over the Lady Blue Jays last week. She connected with 8 two's and she made 12 of 13 free throws. Team mates Cindy Anderson and Amanda Gerrald scored 12 points each. Anderson made 4 two's and 4 of 4 free shots. Gerrald hit 4 two's, 1 three and she made a free throw. Tomeka Muldrow scored 17 points to lead the Lady Jays. She made 5 two's, 2 three's and 1 of 3 foul shots. Others scoring for Nevada were Vanessa Evans with 9 points, Shonda Young 7, Alicia Lewis and Chrystal Lowe with 6 each, Dilesha Easter 4 and Joannie Bialey and Deloris Wincher with 2 each. Genoa led 23-13 after one quarter, 0-23 at halftime and 56-32 going into the final period. Nevada made 7 of 11 from the free throw line. The Lady Dragons made 19 of 23.
