Angus Exhibit Set For TulsaPublished Wednesday, June 30, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneWayne McClure of Waldo will exhibit Angus cattle at the 1999 National Junior Angus Show at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds in Tulsa, Okla., July 7-12, reports Richard L. Spader, executive vice president of the American Angus Association. McClure, a junior member of the American Angus Association with headquarters in St. Joseph, Mo., is one of 701 young Angus breeders from 33 states who have entered a total of 1,431 head in the show. Don Boggs of Brookings, S.D., and Jim Pipkin of Republic, Mo., will judge the breeding cattle. Dave Duello of Clarkesville, Ga., will judge the registered Angus steer show. The National Junior Angus Show is the largest single-breed registered beef cattle show in the world. This year's event will host a beef cook-off, team sales competition, public speaking, photography, graphic design and poster contests in addition to the traditional cattle show. The National Junior Angus Show is sponsored by the American Angus Association and the National Junior Angus Association (NJAA).
