Nashville Man Killed

A 21-year-old Nashville man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday morning in Nevada County.

According to reports from the Arkansas State Police, Jon Dean McMillan was driving a 1988 GMC pickup north on Highway 355 about five miles east of Patmos just inside the Nevada County line, when he ran off the road, went down an embankment and struck several trees. McMillan was ejected from the vehicle.

He was flown to St. Michael's Hospital by Air Life, and pronounced dead on arrival.

The accident was worked by ASP trooper Duvall Moore.


The 1995-96 Miss PHS Pageant will be held December 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the high shcool auditorium. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $3. This year's contestants are, l-r, front row: Lakeshia Smallwood, Brenetta Meadows, Ricci Farris, Heather McLelland, Jessie Ward and Charo Young; second row: Melinda McGough, Laura Grayson, Julie Bruno and Melanie Hearnsberger. Not pictured is Kelli Ashbrook. This year's pageant is sponsored by FTA and proceeds will go towards purchasing new curtains for the auditorium. Please come out and support this worthy cause.
