Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a drug raid by the Nevada County Sheriff's Office Thursday, Nov. 30.

According to Nevada County Sheriff Harold Vines, officials with his department and the Prescott Police Department raided a suspected crack house in the Ellis Trailer Park.

He said they found what they believed to be crack cocaine, marijuana and some cash. Two men, Daryle Hardaman, 32, of Prescott, and Karl D. Wilson, 44, of Prescott, were arrested at the scene.

Hardaman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilson was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

The warrants were served at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday by Vines, chief deputy Morris Vines, Wayne Kisselburg, Jason Arrington, Wally Hulan and Roy Frazier, along with Jim Westmoreland, who works criminal investigation for the NCSO and PPD. Those officers with the PPD who assisted were Walt DeYoung and Joey Grayson.

In other news, two juveniles, missing since Friday evening, have been found and are safe.

Vines said the two, both 14, one male and the other female, were found in an area around Suckles Lake Road and were returned to their parents at 10 p.m. Sunday.

He said the girl was from Rosston, while the boy is from the Boughton area.

According to Vines, there could be charges filed against some adults in this situation. "We're working on the papers now," he said.

Sheriff's officials are investigating the theft of a "grabber bucket" for a log skidder.

Vines said the bucket was taken from the logging site in the Redland Community and is valued at about $4,500.

Westmoreland has solved a burglary at the Prescott Country Club.

The incident occurred Oct. 29, 1995, and two men have been arrested in connection with the burglary.

Westmoreland said cash, alcoholic beverages and a shotgun were taken in the burglary when it occurred.

A 21-year-old Malvern man and a 20-year-old Prescott man have been arrested and charged with commercial burglary and felony theft of property. A third suspects could be arrested soon in the case.

Westmoreland said the shotgun has not been recovered yet. He said the barrel had allegedly been sawed off and the weapon thrown into the Little Missouri River.
