The Jays managed to lead in the opening period, 7-6, and were up 13-12 at the break, but fell apart offensively in the third quarter, only scoring a single point. The score was deadlocked 9-9 at the completion of the first period, with the Lady Tigers taking a 28-20 lead to the dressing rooms at intermission. The Bright Star quintet extended its lead to 49-29 by the end of three, creating a hurdle the Lady Jays couldn't overcome. Vanessa Evans did her best for the Lady Jays as she poured in 18 points. Her effort was followed by Tomika Muldrow's 11, including a pair of three-pointers. The Lady Jays also shot seven of 16 from the stripe. Amanda Nelson and L.Larry both scored 10 for the Lady Tigers.
