Six Prescott Athletes Earn First Team Honors; Jackson Top Coach

Twelve players on the Curley Wolves football team have made all-district. Two were chosen outstanding, above all other players.

Courtney Bryant, who rushed for nearly 1500 yards before being injured in the state playoffs semi-finals game against Clarksville, was named outstanding back in the 7AA Conference.

C.D. Flemons, whose hands were wrapped around quarterbacks more than any other player in the conference, was named outstanding lineman.

Four more players made the first All-District team: Barrett Yates as quarterback, Jason Koger as offensive lineman, Stan Koger as nose guard and John Cornelius as free safety.

Six players were named to the second All-District team.

They are Larry Henderson as defensive end, Braith Egger as offensive lineman, Charlie Rockett as offensive lineman, Rashad Johnson as receiver, Kyron Johnson as offensive lineman and Terrell Burton as defensive lineman.

Football coach Eddie Jackson was selected as the coach of the year by his peers in the 7AA Conference.
