Registration Set For January 4th

Texarkana College will begin academic registration for the spring semester on Thursday, January 4, when any student who has 40 or more earned hours can register. The following day, Friday, January 5, students with 15 or more hours are scheduled to register, and on Monday and Tuesday, January 8 and 9, students with one or more earned hours will register.

Any student may register on Wednesday, January 10.

Hours for registratioin are 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. each day. In addition registration will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on January 8 and 10.

Late registration will be January 16, 17, 18 and 19. Hours for these days are 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 to 6:30 p.m. each day, except January 19, when registration will close at 5:00 p.m. A $20 late fee will be charged those who register late.

Any new academic student at Texarkana College, or one who is transferring from another college, or anyone who hasn't passed all three parts of the TASP test, must have a trial schedule approved by a counselor or a division chairman prior to registering.

Georgia McFaul, director of counseling, urged all such students to do this before registration begins on January 4, if at all possible. However, if this isn't possible, counselors and division chairmen will be available in the Counseling Center during regular registration hours.

Texarkana College's offices will reopen following the holidays at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3.

Academic classes for the spring semester will begin January 16.
