3 Polling Places Set In County

Published Wednesday, December 27, 1995 in the Nevada County Picayune

The Nevada County Election Commission has agreed to combine polling places for the upcoming special election to be held on January 9.

At that time voters will decide on the Highway Bond Issue and whether to sell the Nevada County Hospital.

There will be three polling places in Nevada County, same as in the last special election. Persons will vote in their respective school districts.

Voters in the Prescott School District will vote at the courthouse. Voters in the Nevada School District will vote at Nevada School and voters in the Emmet School District will vote at Emmet City Hall.

Absentee or early no excuse voters can cast their vote at the County Clerk's office at the courthouse beginning today, Wednesday, through January 8.

The election commission urges everyone to vote in this important election.
