Randy Strauss, left, accepts a plaque proclaiming Firestone certified with ISO 9002. The plaque was presented Tuesday, Dec. 19, by Reg Blake, director and manager of British Standards Institution, Inc., the company which registered Firestone for certification. The Prescott plant is the world's first roofing materials company to earn ISO certification. Achieving this status opens markets for Firestone throughout the world.

Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
