Basketball Returns to Area This Week

Roundball action begins again this week after most high school teams took a Christmas break.

This week the Prescott teams were to have played Nashville here on Tuesday (non-conference) and this Friday they will travel to Saratoga.

Next week the Prescott teams will be on hold again as students will be taking mid-term tests.

The Nevada teams will continue their conference battle this week. On Monday they were to have hosted Lewisville and Friday they will travel to Fouke.

They are scheduled to play this coming Saturday in the South Arkansas Classic at Saratoga. The Lady Jays will play Delight at 11:00 a.m. and the Blue Jays will play Bright Star at 12:20 p.m. The finals will conclude Saturday, January 13, weather permitting.

Next week the Nevada teams will host Norphlet on Tuesday in a conference game.

Emmet's teams were to have played Blevins this past Tuesday in conference action, followed by more of the same Friday when they will host Waldo.

Next week they will host Springhill in conference games on Tuesday.
