She passed away last week in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Morris Church will really miss her as she was their piano player. The funeral was held Monday at Morris Church. Louise of near Houston, Texas, has been a guest of Ruth Vinson this week. She visited our church Sunday morning and will be leaving this morning to return home, but will do some visiting on her way home. Other guests in church were Robert and Wendy Bailey and Jacob Gresham had a friend with him. Bro. Petie preached one night last week during the revival at New Liberty and they had two additions to the church. Bro. The Dail Evans family were home with mom and dad on Saturday for Father's Day. The family of Ellis and Winnie Bailey gathered at their home on Saturday night for a fish fry. They celebrated granddaughter Jennifer's, birthday. Another granddaughter, Dee, and baby Sarah of California have been spending the week with them. Dee and husband are both in service, and he did not get to come. Sarah is only 18 months old and already talking. She is just precious. Most of our children were home for supper on Father's Day. Grandson Marty and wife both had to work and granddaughter, Tori, her husband, Teddy, and daughter, Kathryn, were moving into their beautiful new home in Magnolia. Our daughter-in-law, Booie Williams, of Prescott is getting moved into the new revenue office there. Roscoe went to the doctor in Little Rock on Thursday afternoon. He has to go back in July, so remember us in your prayers. We had lunch at Bowen's Restaurant in Arkadelphia. We visited with Bill and Maxine Freeman on our way home. Sherry Dillard Clark needs our prayers as she is still having problems. Paul Jackson of Ashdown was home in Rosston this weekend. He brought us some squash and cucumbers that he grew in his garden in Ashdown. Paul, our family had all the fried squash and cucumber salad we could eat. Thanks a lot. We appreciate you. Kenneth and Sue Coefield of Hope were our guests for a while on Sunday afternoon. They reminded us of the Roger Bennett concert at First Baptist Church in Hope on Sunday night at 6:30. Roger has played the piano for the Cathedral Quartet for many years. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
