Your regular reporter is spending a few days' vacation at St. Michael's Hospital, so I'm asking a faithful friend, Joy Cox to write for me.

Our sponsors and youth from Shady Grove have returned from church camp. There were about 25 who made the trip. Only one small accident was reported with Cole Hillery being slightly injured. He is doing fine now.

Many will be sorry to hear Neal Ridling's grandmother, Irene Cornelius, is a patient at St. Michael's. Also, Leslie Walker is a patient and was to have heart surgery Monday.

Charity, Randy and Caleb Lowdermilk visited her mother and stepfather, Betty and Tim Wilson, at their home in Texarkana on Saturday. Chris and Ginger Meeks from Dallas also visited them.

Friends will be sorry to hear of the death of Audrey Andrews, widow of the late Edgar Andrews. Burial was at Liberty Cemetery last week.

Our grandson, Randy, Charity and Caleb Lowdermilk and family have lost their family pet. He's a black Lab wearing a red collar. If you see him, call 887-3113, 887-2542 or Barbara Lowdermilk at the Farm Bureau office.

Lola Cagle from Dallas has been visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Betty Cagle.

Kristi Ridling is visiting her Dad, Billy Jr., and Donna. She is also spending lots of time with Megan Vandiver.

Pershing and Mary Cox went with Ann Dale Wylie to Temple, Texas, last week for Dale's checkup at Scott White Hospital. They were met there by Kathy and Beau Straley. They did a lot of sightseeing around Temple and the area near Waco. They visited Salado to see the site where Kathy and Beau are to build a new home. They also visited Mary's brother, Ivan Hilderbrand, and his daughters, Susan and Shirley, and helped to celebrate his 96th birthday.

Since starting this news I am happy to report Hazel was released from the hospital. We are glad to have her back home.
