User Fees Are SetPublished Wednesday, January 10, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesThe Vicksburg District, U.S. Army corps of Engineers, has announced its 1996 schedule of user fees at recreation areas at lakes DeGray, Greeson and Ouachita in Arkansas. Day user fees are also charged at Corps areas along with Ouachita-Black River system in southwest Arkansas. The fee for campsites range from $3 per night for a site in a primitive campground to $12-$15 a night for a site with electrical hookups in a Class "A" campgrounds. Additional fees are charges at Lake Ouachita for extra camping equipment on a single campsite. Fees also may be charged for visitors to campgrounds and for non-campers to use a trailer dump station in a Corps campground. Group campsites are available at some projects. During 1996, a fee of $25 will be charged for reserving a group picknic shelter or amphitheater. A fee of $2 per day is charged year around to use boat launching ramps, and a fee of $1 per day is charged for use of a designed swimming beach during the fee season.
