It has been a busy two weeks in Caney. J.W. and Maxine Glass celebrated their 50th anniversary at Morris Church Saturday afternoon.

Funeral services for Lifton Cearley was Monday. She will certainly be missed. She was praised by some and loved by all.

We prepared lunch for the Cearley families at the church Monday after the funeral.

The Caney Cemetery Association met Monday evening. One change was made by the association with regards to faded flowers left on the graves. Faded flowers will be removed by the caretaker. This will improve the appearance greatly.

I attended a three-day meeting with the Arkansas Extension Homemakers in Hot Springs last week. It was nice to see several old friends who also made the 'Know America' trip to Washington, D.C., in 1988.
